The Spennynews is managed by The Spennymoor Community Newspaper Association which is soon tobecome a registered charity. 11,000 copies are produced and delivered free to every home in Spennymoor, Tudhoe, Middlestone Moor, Middlestone Village, Byers Green, Binchester, Kirk Merrington and Croxdale. It is presently published fortnightly. Estimated readership is over 33,000.

The Shildon and District Town Crier is managed by The Shildon Community Newspaper Association which is also soon to become a registered charity. 6,000 copies are produced and delivered free to every home in Shildon, New Shildon Eldon, Middridge and nearby Redworth. It is published weekly. Estimated readership is over 24,000.
