Comments: Hi i was searching for info on my family tree and got diverted by your site. Ferry hill looks like a lovely place. I wonder if there are still members of the grey family living there as i can trace my tree back to Elizabeth grey born 1819 at ferryhill,her daughter Dorothy jane born 1858 gilesgate, went on to marry a charles woodward in belmont durham. good site, thanks Lou

Comments: Hi I would just like to say how much I look forward to reading The Chapter every week, congratulations to all who are involved in its production.Both myself and my husband Martin were brought up in Ferryhill,we have been away for nearly 25years, lots of our family are still in the town.It is so nice to be able to have a weekly link to all the town's news online
